Canada

Since its foundation, Sacred Art of Living has had a close connection to Canada.  SALC’s first workshops outside the US were conducted among First Nation Communities  in Yukon and Northwest Territories. Today, hundreds of Canadians have participated in the Art of Living & Dying (Healing the Healers) series as well as the Anamcara Apprenticeship.

Oh, Canada!

Celebrating a strong SALC presence in Canada.

We are very proud of our presence in Canada where Sacred Art of Living has been offering workshops and programs for several years.  Recently, these programs have become more accessible in Canada through partnerships with Star of the North Retreat Centre and Providence Renewal Center.  With our new virtual format you can take these programs from the comfort of your home.  We invite you to join us on this amazing journey.  Canadian Director, Debbie Doornbos, looks forward to answering your questions.

Sacred Space of Hospitality, Growth, Retreat & Renewal

In 1953, the Oblates of Mary Immaculate opened the doors of Star of the North Retreat Center to provide spiritual retreats, workshops, and seminars for persons seeking spiritual renewal in their lives. The Oblates are a missionary, religious order of the Roman Catholic Christian tradition committed to walking with and serving alongside the poor. Their houses of retreat offer formation in spirituality, contemplative private retreat for personal renewal, and human growth, psychological, emotional, spiritual as well as wisdom teachings around justice, peace, and integrity of creation. They also offer hospitality for groups seeking an alternative and affordable place to gather for their meetings, conferences, and retreats.

SALC and Catholic Social Services (CSS)

Sacred Art of Living is pleased to work with Catholic Social Services to bring Healing the Healers training and support to their staff in Edmonton, Alberta, and the surrounding area.

Catholic Social Services makes life better for Albertans by lifting people and families in lasting ways. For nearly 60 years, CSS has been providing help to the most vulnerable. This mission has taken the agency into many different fields of service, in many different communities. Today, CSS works in three priority areas, serving individuals with disabilities, children and families, and newcomers to Canada. Each year, more than 20,000 Albertans are lifted and empowered through 90 CSS programs, in 12 communities, across Central Alberta. Sign of Hope is the charitable arm of CSS. Through donor and community support, Sign of Hope is able to sustain CSS` ability to serve.
